Prairie Dell
Prairie Dell, Bell County, developed along the Texas leg of the Chisholm Trail in the late 1860s and peaked in the early twentieth century. Film buffs know it as the locale for the Texas Battle Land scene in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2" (1986). It was filmed at the site of the short-lived Matterhorn theme park (since razed).
